Titta igen, Hamill svarade aldrig över huvud taget innan Mazzagatti bröt matchen då han låg kvar på marken och var okontaktbar.. Han sa aldrig något om axeln innan matchen bröts.

“I’d like to take a minute and thank everyone for their unbelievable support. The outpouring of concern has been overwhelming. I know it looked bad Saturday night but it looked a lot worse than it was. Aside from a few stitches in my nose and a sore shoulder I feel fine. I give all the credit to Jon Jones. He caught me by surprise with an awesome trip and I dislocated my shoulder when we hit the ground. I knew it was probably over at that point but I will die before I tap so I did the best I could under the circumstances. We train to wind up in bad positions and it paid off because I felt I was still able to defend even though I knew I couldn’t get up. Jon’s young and full of so much talent. Aside from making a mistake he did his job and he did it well. He definitely didn’t lose this fight and I definitely didn’t win, but I guess the rules are there for a reason. It is what it is. I went into this fight feeling like my record was actually 9-1 so with this so called win I will now consider my record 9-2.
I wish Jon all the best and I’d like to thank him for the professional and respectful way he has handled himself. I felt bad for him since a simple mistake caused him to loose a win bonus but as I know first hand, Dana, Lorenzo and the rest of the UFC take great care of their fighters. I’m sure Jon received a win bonus and more. As for me, you know I’ll be back. Fighting in the UFC is my job and I’ll be back to work very soon. I feel my performance before I was taken down was going well. I was able to get to him, land some solid strikes and get my hands on him. More importantly I was able to avoid all of his crazy strikes which is something we worked very hard on. I was in the best shape ever for this fight and I was completely prepared. It’s always a disappointment when things don’t go your way but I will take all the positives that I can from this. I’m just waiting on MRI results so we can rule out any further damage and I plan to be back in the gym right after the holidays.”
UFC light heavyweight Matt Hamill today posted on his official website his reaction to a disqualification win over Jon Jones at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale this past Saturday. After dislocating Hamill’s shoulder during the takedown, Jones teed off with ground and pound and appeared close to finishing the fight in the opening round when he landed several illegal 12-6 elbows that cost him a point and, when Hamill was unable to continue, the fight. While Jones is appealing the result, Hamill luckily avoided serious injury after the beatdown from one of the UFC’s top prospects.
Case in point säris.

Jon Jones’ disqualification against Matt Hamill at “The Ultimate Fighter” season 10 finale will not be overturned.
Jason Genet, a representative of Jones’ camp, said he received a letter Monday from the Nevada Attorney General’s office stating an appeal to have the result changed would not be heard.
“It wasn’t really a denial, it just said (the Attorney General’s office) doesn’t overturn decisions like that,” said Genet. “So there’s no need to appeal, and therefore, they didn’t want to waste the commission’s time.”
Jones was disqualified after throwing several illegal elbows at Hamill from the mount position during the Dec. 5 battle in Las Vegas. Referee Steve Mazzagatti halted the bout after reviewing the blows on instant replay – the first time a referee had done so in Nevada.
In a letter dated Dec. 11, Jones’ managers, Ryan Ciatoli and Gary Marino, filed a letter with the Nevada State Athletic Commission asking to change the fight’s official result to a win in Jones’ favor. Keith Kizer, Executive Director of the NSAC, sent the letter to the Attorney General’s office for official review.
The letter did not dispute that Jones’ elbows were illegal, but said Mazzagatti erred when he did not involve ringside physicians in determining whether Hamill could continue, and said a shoulder injury Hamill suffered prior to the illegal blows rendered him unable to continue.
Hamill, who is legally deaf, had blood in his eyes when Mazzagatti asked him if he was okay after stopping the bout. When he did not respond, Mazzagatti reviewed the sequence and made his decision.
Jones’ complaint said the cuts that caused blood to run into Hamill’s eyes were the result of legal elbows thrown from the mount. It also cited a statement from Hamill’s website where Hamill admitted the bout was “probably over” after the shoulder injury.
Genet said Jones’ camp would likely end their appeal efforts.
“We felt it was important to appeal, just to be on record,” he said. “But it’s one of those things where there’s not a guaranteed winner, so we’ll probably just move on from this, even if there’s a way to prove that it should have been (overturned). It looks like the UFC’s recognizing that Jon’s a dominant force. It appears people are not judging the disqualification, they’re judging the performance, which is really all you can care about in the fight game right now. “
Jones is already scheduled to face light heavyweight standout Brandon Vera in the main event of the yet-unannounced UFC Fight Night 21 on March 21 in Denver. He declined comment on the ruling Wednesday afternoon.
Kizer was out of his office and did not respond to calls and emails requesting confirmation of the denial.
