Thread: Monson vill möta fedor

It is up in the air as to who will fight Fedor Emelianenko on August 1st after Josh Barnett failed a random drug test done by the CSAC, and one fighter in particular is throwing his name out there in hopes of getting signed for the fight.

Jeff Monson tells MMANews.com "I'm the guy to beat Fedor. He's a great fighter. I'd definitely love to see me fight fedor. It's a perfect match-up. He's the guy I'm destined to fight. I want to be the guy to beat him. I'd definitely love to be carried off afterward.... after I submit him. My goal is to be the best in the world, even if it's for one fight."

Monson's agent, Jessy Evans has been busy trying to make the fight happen. She has put the calls into Tom Atencio, and Affliction for this fight. "Jeff is destined for this fight. This is the fight he has always wanted. Opportunity is knocking and Jeff just open the door and said lets dance. Now it up to Tom and the Tshirt guys to make their minds up to see if they want to make history."

An opponent has yet to be named but all signs are pointing towards Vitor Belfort as the probable opponent as was reported here yesterday. With the event only nine days away, time is running out and an opponent should be announced sooner rather than later.

Alla vill möta Fedor, De är en Win/win för alla HWs. Fedor är #1 och alla vill prova sin lycka på att ta den platsen. Om de förlorar? Det spelar ingen roll de har ju mött Fedor.

Monson har ju chockat ut en del fighters men jag ser honom inte chocka ut Fedor. Jag tror inte Monsons kulle vara så snygg i ansiktet efter den fighten. Men helt klarten HW framför Vitor.

Monson kanske inte vinner men det kan bli en rolig match. Och det är typ klart att Jeff ska var Fedors motståndare.
