UFC president Dana White and UFC heavyweight fighter Brock Lesnar are scheduled to appear today on CNBC's "Power Lunch."

The segment begins at 12:40 p.m., and according to UFC.com, the duo will announce "an exciting new UFC deal."

Of course, the media booking has led to speculation that the UFC executive will finally reveal details of the "major announcement" he first hinted at during a recent interview with ESPN The Magazine. MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) now has some details of what that announcement could entail.

When White first spoke of the big announcement, he said he was going to reveal it on Thursday this week in front of Zuffa LLC employees. We don't know if he's preempting that announcement with today's "Power Lunch" segment. It could be two completely deals, for all we know.

However, since White first promised the big announcement, we've been looking for answers about what it might entail.

najs, då behöver man inte vänta på nästa ufc-gala då kan man ju bara plocka fram dockorna när man har tråkigt och allt som fattas då är bröderna Robertos röster.

Visste inte det, men då antar jag att UFC ska inleda ett samarbete med WWE o ha ett utbyte av fighters osv :P

Brock var med i gårdagens tv presskonferansen i går, han var en av dockerna :lol:

har ingett emot lesnar men lite mkt hype på han :P säger dock inte att han e dålig tror facktiskt att han kan bli en riktigt bra hw.

Jag vill ha en Lesnar-figur som jag kan kasta pil på! :twisted:

Dom ska även prata om Ultimte fighting 2009 (spelet) eftersom dom inte gjorde de på UFC 84 som lovat.

hoppas att dom berättar om de under denna konferance. känns ju rätt konstigt om inte ett demo kommer snart eftersom fighterna i demot ska vara Jackson samt Griffin, detta kanske enbart har varigt rykten, men men får la se vad dom säger imon håller tummarna för nyheter om spelet iaf!

From a very reliable source, rumor has it that a group of investors led by Dana White have agreed in principle to purchase the UFC from Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta for an undisclosed amount. Included in this investment group is WWE's Vince McMahon who will now own a minority stake in the company. They also have plans on taking the company public by years end.

At the press conference also expect Dana to announce that with the help of McMahon, who has extensive connections in the New York State Athletic Commission, they were able to get the UFC sanctioned in New York, and plan on having a show sometime in the winter at Madison Square Garden. That is all I have right now.

hoppas inte det, jag förväntar mig något riiiiktigt stort, samarbete med cbs eller att spelet släpps i juli

Det är ett hett rykte på Sherdog's forum. Så visst kan det vara så. Men hoppas verkligen inte det. Men historiskt sett så var ju Vince McMahon ute efter UFC innan Zuffa köpte det. Men varför skulle Dana vilja slå ihop sig med Presidenten för WWE? Hur skulle det förändra MMA's framtid de kommande 5 åren?

Hoppas inte att det är så, men vi får väl vänta och se :P

Det skulle snarare förändra UFC's framtid inte MMA. Bara för att de köper WWE eller går ihop så förändrar ju inte det MMA branchen. Snarare UFC som tar ett steg åt fel håll (i mina ögon).
