Thread: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira gör UFC debut @ UFC 105

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, the twin brother of UFC heavyweight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira who recently finalized a deal with the UFC, will make his debut for the promotion at UFC 105 on November 14 in Manchester, England, according to Fighters Only.

An opponent has not yet been named for the light heavyweight matchup, with Fighters Only reporting that the UFC hopes to have Nogueira fight for the title as soon as possible, indicating a fight against another 205-pound contender is likely for the card.

Establishing Nogueira as a contender may be moot while Lyoto Machida is the UFC’s light heavyweight champion, as “Litte Nog,” like middleweight champ Anderson Silva, says he wouldn’t fight Machida due to their close friendship.

Nogueira (17-3), who is also known by his nickname “Minotoro”, is currently riding a five-fight win streak that includes victories over Edwin Dewees and Vladimir Matyushenko at Affliction’s two MMA events, as well as his most-recent win in May over Dion Staring.

A headliner has not yet been announced for UFC 105, which is rumored to air on Spike TV and expected to feature Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang and Dan Hardy vs. Dong Hyun Kim.
