OLYMPIA — The mixed martial arts fighter charged with spray painting an anarchy symbol on the Capitol in Olympia is jailed in North Carolina.

The Olympian reports 37-year-old Jeff Monson is accused of a domestic violence assault Saturday on a girlfriend in the city of Advance.

The woman, Stephanie Trapani, told the paper Monson trashed her apartment because she threw his cell phone out a car window when she found out he had romantic relationships with other women.

She is a spokesmodel for a fightwear company that Monson endorses.

Washington State Patrol Sgt. Freddie Williams says it will take custody of Monson after he is released from jail in North Carolina. He is charged with malicious mischief for the November spray painting.
